By engaging us early—before your builder or architect finalises plans—we can ensure a cohesive design throughout, helping you avoid costly errors and achieve the best possible outcome. From selecting hard surface materials and paint colours to sourcing the perfect furnishings, every detail is thoughtfully considered and seamlessly integrated into your space, allowing you to focus on what matters most.

Step 1: Design enquiry form

Whether you're planning a new build, a renovation, refreshing a specific room, or seeking guidance through a one-off design consultation, simply complete our Design Enquiry Form on our Contact page. We’ll get in touch to discuss your goals and how we can work together to achieve them.

Step 2: Initial design consultation

Next, schedule an initial design consultation with our Principal Interior Designer, Angela Smith. This 90-minute session can take place at your project address, in our studio, or online for your convenience.

During this session, we’ll discuss your vision, explore design possibilities, and provide professional advice tailored to your needs—whether you require expert guidance for a one-off design consultation, refreshing one or more spaces, or embarking on a full-scale renovation or new build.

After the consultation, for a one-off design consultation you’ll receive a project summary outlining our discussions and recommended next steps to guide your project. For smaller or larger projects, you’ll receive a detailed Fee Proposal outlining the scope of work and the next steps to move forward with confidence.

Step 3: Project commencement

This marks the exciting start of bringing your ideas to life. Each project presents unique opportunities for creativity, guided by our design process:

• The conceptual design phase: We begin by creating a mood board to convey the intended style and overall aesthetic of your project. This visual tool ensures that our ideas align with your goals. After receiving your feedback, we develop a tailored design scheme that brings your vision to life.

• The design development phase: During this phase, we work closely with you and, if applicable, your builder or tradespeople to refine key design and decorative elements outlined in your brief. For renovations or new builds, this may include reviewing floor layouts, spatial planning, and key areas such as kitchen and bathroom design, cabinetry, and lighting. We also assist in selecting materials and finishes, such as flooring, tiles, tapware, and countertops.

  If furniture and soft furnishings are part of your brief, we transition into sourcing and curating a selection of items tailored to your space, presenting these for your review and approval. For decorating projects, we focus on selecting furniture, fabrics, lighting, accessories, and decorative finishes—sourcing both custom-designed and ready-made solutions to suit your needs. Every element is thoughtfully chosen to align with your vision and enhance your space.

  Whenever necessary, we coordinate with relevant professionals to ensure clear communication and seamless collaboration throughout the project.

• Procurement - Once products are approved, we liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and workrooms to manage deliveries and installations. Working directly with trade suppliers allows us to provide access to unique products at competitive prices. By entrusting us with this process, you can be confident that every detail is handled meticulously, ensuring a seamless and stress-free experience as your design vision comes to life.

• Project realization: Depending on the scope of work and your design brief, we oversee and coordinate key aspects of your project to ensure everything runs smoothly and stays true to your vision. While we are not licensed builders and cannot formally “project manage” construction works, our expertise lies in design facilitation—ensuring the creative aspects of your project are executed as intended. We collaborate closely with your chosen builder, contractors, and project manager to uphold the design intent and provide clarity on design-related queries throughout construction. If you choose to engage us in this capacity, our role may include coordinating trades for design-specific tasks, attending onsite meetings, and monitoring progress to ensure alignment with the approved design brief.

• Installation and styling: Once construction is complete, we handle the final furniture installation and styling of your home—bringing the design to life with a cohesive, beautifully finished result.
